Meet The Team – Shruti
What is your role at Fluency?
As a Senior Data Consultant, I specialise in data storytelling, working with clients to understand their challenges and with the help our in-house data specialists, deliver end-to-end projects. I help transform complex data sets into compelling yet understandable narratives that drive actionable insights and strategic decision-making for clients. My expertise lies in uncovering hidden patterns and trends, enabling businesses to harness the full potential of their data.
What clients do you work with?
My key client right now is Amazon although I am sure I will be supporting the team on others in time.
What inspired you to get into data?
I grew up in a family of entrepreneurs, where I developed a love for maths and logic while dreaming of moving to the vibrant city of London. This passion led me to study Economics at University College London.
My journey took off at a startup, where I immersed myself in marketing and business strategy, always grounded in data and statistics. I quickly realized that data is the key to understanding complex business challenges and making informed decisions. The intersection of creativity and analytical thinking inspired me to pursue a career in data. At Fluency, I’ve found the perfect environment to help others harness the transformative power of data for their success.
What type of projects are you working on currently?
As cliche as it sounds, every day here is different, and I’ve been working on projects that range from identifying the key social trends, topics and conversations in Japan to helping social media teams better understand the true performance of their Influencers.
I’m also working with a client to help them define their key performance indicators (KPIs) that align with their strategic goals, enabling them to deepen their insights, offer clarity on their objectives and drive a clear purpose for each communication activity.
It can’t all be data! What do you enjoy outside of work?
When I’m not staying active through dancing, long walks, or Pilates, you can often find me unwinding with Netflix, getting lost in a Wikipedia rabbit holes, or reading the latest non-fiction. I have a passion for travel and have been fortunate enough to visit three wonders of the world this year alone, (Chichén Itzá, Christ the redeemer and the pyramids of Giza) along with spending 2 months travelling Central / South America, and I can’t wait to explore even more!
